Albert Buckner Cowden was an American football and basketball coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Cowden was the first head football coach for the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes located in Salina, Kansas and he held that position for the 1903 and 1905 seasons; the school did not field a team in 1904. His coaching record at Kansas Wesleyan was 6 wins, 4 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2009 season, this ranks him 12th at Kansas Wesleyan in total wins and 3rd at the school in winning percentage (.600).[1]
