Alan Best (sculptor)
Alan Best (1910–2001) was a Canadian sculptor and natural historian. He trained at the Académie Julian in Paris, designed for Josiah Wedgwood & Sons and was assistant to British sculptor Eric Kennington. He was assistant zoo curator[1] under Julian Huxley at Regent's Park Zoo, London and curator of Stanley Park Zoo, Vancouver. He is the uncle of Canadian filmmaker Alan Best.
