Al Strobel

Albert Michael "Al" Strobel (born in 1939) is an American actor best known for his recurring role on David Lynch and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks as MIKE.

Life and career

Strobel is born in Seattle, Washington. He is currently living in Eugene, Oregon.

He is one-armed as the result of an auto-accident that occurred when Strobel was a teenager. He appeared in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me as well as the Twin Peaks series and had roles in the films Shadow Play, Megaville and Ricochet River (starring Kate Hudson) and in the plays Romeo and Juliet, Oklahoma and Richard III. He also appeared in the television movie Child of Darkness, Child of Light. As of 2005 he is retired and living in Portland. In 2015, he appeared in a video supporting David Lynch following his departure from the Twin Peaks reboot slated for 2016, along with numerous other Twin Peaks cast members. David Lynch later returned to the reboot. Strobel is set to reprise his role as MIKE, and it is to air on Showtime in 2017.
