Akbarpur is a village in Bhulath Tehsil in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 27 kilometres (17 mi) from Bhulath, 37 kilometres (23 mi) away from district headquarter Kapurthala. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[2]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011,Akbarpur has 268 houses with the total population of 1,175 persons of which 584 are male and 591 females. Literacy rate of Akbarpur is 75.07%, lower than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children in the age group 0–6 years is 128 which is 10.89% of the total population.
