Ajay Jagota (born 11 November 1969) is an entrepreneur, property professional and CEO of Keep It Simple (KIS) Group.[1][2][3] He has been featured in BBC News,[4][5] BBC Radio Newcastle, BBC 5 Live BBC Sunday politics, BDaily newsletter, Sky News, Five Live, The Guardian, Channel 4 News and The Independent.[6] Ajay has been quoted in ARLA, The Northern Echo, The Journal, industry e-zines including Letting Agent Today and 118Property. He is a trustee for Pine Tree Trust and a member of North East shadow Monetary Policy Commission.[7][8][9]
Career
Ajay started his career working for a small business before setting up his own security company.[10] In 1988 he joined Thomson Directories and worked his way up from sales to become a senior manager reporting directly to the board. After working at Thomson for 10 years, Ajay joined the Accident Group where he was responsible for 400 members of staff. He is creator & founder of Dlighted, an insurance backed deposit-free renting solution which slashes the costs of tenants renting homes.[11] He is founder of Keep It Simple (KIS) Group,[12] a property management firm which won “Letting Agent of the Year” award at the National Landlord and Letting Awards in 2013.[13][14] Ajay's Keep It Simple agency are best known for being the first letting agents in the UK to abolish deposits, replacing them with a one-of-a-kind landlord insurance policy negating the need for tenants to produce costly deposits.[11] He also supports the Conservative Party in the 2015 election being one of the 5000 signatures that appeared in the Daily Telegraph.[15]
