Ajam is a British world fusion group that mixes traditional Iranian musical instruments with modern rap. They draw from a variety of musical traditions including Balochi music, Kurdish music, Arabic music, Azeri music and Khorasani music.
Ajam began playing together in 2004, but they did not officially become a band until 2010. They released their first album Raghse Mardoone in November 2010. They have gained attention for their mix of traditional and modern music.[1]
