Acanthoclinus is a genus of roundheads of the Plesiopidae. They are elongated in shape with large mouths and eyes, and are found in the oceans around New Zealand. The species in the genus include:
- Olive rockfish, A. fuscus Jenyns, 1842
- New Zealand rockfish, A. littoreus (Forster, 1801)
- Stout rockfish, A. marilynae (Hardy, 1985)
- A. matti (Hardy, 1985)
- Little rockfish, A. rua (Hardy, 1985)
