Abyssocottus korotneffi is a species of deepwater sculpin, a freshwater fish endemic to Lake Baikal in Russia.[2] It is known to dwell at a depth range of 120-1000 metres, most commonly between 450-500 m. Males can reach a maximum total length of 12.6 centimetres and females 13.2 cm. Maximum age is 12 years. Females harbour about 20 eggs in each ovary.[2]

A. korotneffi feeds predominantly on debris and amphipod crustaceans.[2]
