"Abrázame" (Eng.: "Hold Me") is a song by Mexican band Camila. It was released in 2006, as the first single from the album Todo Cambió. In 2008, the song was re-recorded with Brazilian pop singer Wanessa and included on her album Total and also as a bonus track on the Brazilian pressings of Todo Cambió.

Me Abrace/Abrázame version

"Me Abrace (Abrázame)" was released as the second official single from Wanessa's fifth studio album Total (2008).[1]

For the Brazilian single release, Wanessa joined the Mexican band to re-record the song as a duet. The duet version is available on the 2008 re-release of Camargo's album Total and also on the Brazilian version of Camila's album Todo Cambió, released on the same year.

Recording

Wanessa Camargo once listened the song and decided to include a Portuguese version on her forthcoming CD. The singer herself wrote the Portuguese lyrics, and the title was rendered as "Me Abrace". This solo version is available on Total album CD.

In March 2008, Wanessa fled to Miami, United States, to meet Camila and record the duet version, in which Wanessa sings in Portuguese and Camila sings the original verses in Spanish. The bilingual version was titled "Me Abrace/Abrázame". The record sessions took place at The Hit Factory studio.[2]

Although the song is only three-minutes long, the recording sessions took seven hours. "I barely could lunch", says Wanessa Camargo. "We ate a mozzarella pizza, in the American style. I love junkie food." About her singing, Camargo admits: "It was very complicated, since I needed to sing in a lower key than the one I'm used to".

A promo single CD was released to Brazilian radio stations and also leaked onto Internet, containing the duet version, Wanessa's solo version and three remixes. This is quite noticeable, since CD-Singles are not popular in Brazil and are not sold in stores, but they are made only for radio stations.
