Albert Byron Potter, Sr. was the fourth head football coach for the Drake University Bulldogs, located in Des Moines, Iowa; he held that position for three seasons, from 1897 until 1899. His overall coaching record at Drake was ten wins, seven losses and one tie. After the 2007 season A. B. Potter ranks 11th in terms of coaching total wins at Drake and eighth in winning percentage.[1]
Potter attended Northwestern University where he was a dental student.[2] He later worked as a dentist based in Oklahoma City, where he died in 1961.[3]
