The 8th Cavalry (Izz Ul Khail) is an armoured regiment of the Pakistan Army. It was previously known as the 8th King George's V Own, which was a regular cavalry regiment of the British Indian Army. It was formed in 1787. It was raised as a part of the Pakistan Army on 10th January 1991 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in ARAR for the Operation Desert Storm. The Operation was based on the Liberation of Kuwait.
