The 2nd Australian Armoured Brigade was a formation of the Australian Army during World War II. The brigade was formed in July 1941, at Puckapunyal, Victoria and disbanded April 1944. The Brigade was assigned to the 1st Australian Armoured Division in July 1941, then transferred to the 1st Australian Motor Division in September 1942, and transferred again to the 3rd Australian Armoured Division in November 1942. The brigade remained in Australia during this time and not see any active service.[1]
