2015 European Tour
The 2015 European Tour is the seventh edition of the Race to Dubai and the 44th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972.
Schedule
The table below shows the 2015 European Tour schedule which begins with two events in late 2014.[1]
Events moving up on the schedule are the Maybank Malaysian Open by two months from April to February, the Madeira Islands Open by two months from May to March, the Irish Open by three weeks, and the Omega European Masters by six weeks from September to July.
Events moving back on the schedule are the Alfred Dunhill Championship by two weeks, the South African Open Championship by two months from November to January, the Joburg Open by three weeks, the Africa Open by three weeks, the Tshwane Open by two weeks, the Trophée Hassan II by two weeks, the M2M Russian Open by six weeks from July to September, and the Italian Open by three weeks.
Events new for the 2015 season are the True Thailand Classic, the Shenzhen International, the Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Matchplay, and the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, while the Hero Indian Open is co-sanctioned by the European Tour for the first time. In addition, the European Open returns to the schedule for the first time since 2009, and the British Masters for the first time since 2008.
Events missing from the 2015 schedule that were played in 2014 are the Volvo World Match Play Championship, Nelson Mandela Championship, Volvo Golf Champions, NH Collection Open, The Championship at Laguna National, Wales Open, and the Perth International.
Race to Dubai
Since 2009, the European Tour's money list has been known as the "Race to Dubai". It is based on money earned during the season and is calculated in euro, with earnings from tournaments that award prize money in other currencies being converted at the exchange rate available the week of the event. The following table shows the final top-10 in the 2015 standings (earnings converted to points before the Final Series).[2]
