1 John 2 is the second chapter of the First Epistle of John in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.[1][2] The epistle is traditionally attributed to John the Apostle.[3][4]

Verse 1
- My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.[5]
Verse 2
- And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.[6]
Verse 18
- Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.[7]
Verse 27
- But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.[8]
