The 8th Young Critics Circle Awards, conferred on 26 February 1998 at the Faculty Center Conference Hall (Pulungang Recto, Bulwagang Rizal), University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, honored the best of Philippine cinema of 1997.^[1]
