1996 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group III

The Group III tournament was held in two locations. Fourteen nations met January 8–14, in Nairobi, Kenya, and fourteen others met May 20–26, in Istanbul, Turkey. In each location, the teams were split into two groups, each of which played a round robin tournament. The winner of each of the four groups earned promotion to Group II for 1997.[1]
The tournament marked the Davis Cup debuts of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Botswana, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.
