11 bit studios s.a. is a game development company based in Warsaw, Poland. The company was officially formed on 11 September 2010, founded by former CD Projekt and Metropolis Software developers and staff members.[2][3][4] Currently, they employ thirty people. The company's goal is to create games suitable for both hardcore gamers as well as casual gamers,[2] and to make games easily available through digital distribution.[5] 11 bit studios implement and deliver games to all main gaming platforms, including consoles, computers, and handhelds.[5][6] They are best known for their award winning game, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, a real-time strategy reversed tower defense.[7] Their other game, This War of Mine, was well received by players and critics due to its depiction of the Siege of Sarajevo.[8]
